TRAFFIC AND TIME

Do you happen even think about what will you do if you are late for office, especially when you own (a) vehicles, such as car(s) or motorbike(s)?

Rush and rush you go against the ticking time just to get to your desk on a proper scale of late. Jump down from your bed, taking a cowboy bath, a fast sip of coffee or tea,  a grab of breakfast, chewing your food on your right hand and your briefcase on your left hand, while half-running towards your vehicle. Restlessly reach for keys to open the door and or ignite the vehicle engine. Pedal to the metal afterwards, lucky if you don’t run on your neighbors’ flowers or cats.

On the road you are the king, the most important person on the planet and others are scum. Rush out your gasoline like there’s no limit, but frankly time is the limit. You race against time and ignoring all of the rules that follows driving activity, such as for little examples: seat beat anyone?, or using your sign light when you make a turn, stop before the white line on a traffic light, green is for go and red is for stop, driving ethics like make a way for pedestrians, never use pedestrians’ walk as toll on traffic jam, for naming in short.

Yea that only happen of we live in a good society. When the motto “Time is Money” happen to be an ideal way to act, then you are dreaming.

I own a Vespa PX 150 and this is my primary vehicle. Based on my observation on other drivers behaviours in the street that shown to my eyes are just obnoxious. For instance, this is occuring every single day. Near my home area there is a quite big crossraods equipped with proper traffic lights. We all happen to realize that a traffic light was build to CONTROL traffic right, as simple as that. When the red is on, all the vehicles must stop before the white line in order to let other vehicles from the opposite position make their way, and the other way around. But the facts are:

1. Most of the vehicles do not stop when the red light is on;
2. When they eventually stop, they do not stop before the white line but most of them used the Zebra Cross instead;
3. Most of the vehicles are busting their speed before the traffic light, when they know that they ought to reduce their speed;
4. Most of the drivers of those vehicles, who happen to run over the red light, never make way for other vehicle that should have their turns;
5. When the above situation occured, all what’s left are an obscure and tangled traffic where you can hear lots of f*** words, animal swearing, and hatred in the air.

May, may may, what a waste. The latest tragic news i heard from my girlfriend this morning. She was hit by a motorcylce from behind, dragged about 2 meters, and all she had was cursing words from the driver without any consent of regrets or apology.

What in the world happen to our sane mind? In this highly improved technological era we still act like a savage, primitive and dumb being. Please note that all the traffic violations, most of them are not just happen to be the work of a mediocore people, wealthy and well educated people also contributes to this menace situations and facts. Talk about changing society ee??

Time is valuable but valuing time is the most wise action for us, the human race. Remember, we are the controller of time not the opposite.
